The white city perched atop of three hills like a knight guarding its lands. Ostuni is one of the region’s most impressive and charming cities which bares the mark of all those who have touched upon it. With its whitewashed walls, small roads and alleys, its Mediterranean Architecture meets the unspoilt Ostuni coastline on the Adriatic Sea.
What to see:
- The Gothic style Cathedral build between 1435 and 1495.
- The city’s surrounding walls which bare tribute to the historic events and which resulted in its construction.
- The Column of Sant’Orzo which has a pyramidal shape and is over 20 metres high with the statue of Saint Oronzo at the top.

This town is one of the most beautiful gems of our southern regions and it is located on a gorge overlooking the blue waters of the Adriatic Sea. Polignano’s origins take us back to the 4th century BC when Greek settlers founded this town as Nea-polis (new city). The clock square is the heart of Polignano and it is enriched with art and history, while the long and rocky coastline hides a number of inlets, underground caves and grottos.
This mesmerizing town continues to attract many locals and foreigners alike, from hosting the Red Bull cliff diving competitions, to setting the stage for the long-awaited wedding scene between Hope and Liam in “The Bold and the Beautiful”.
Polignano a Mare is also the birthplace of the famous Domenico Modugno who’s hit Volare was in fact inspired by the streets and landscape of this seaside gem.
